Discrimination of
Francisella tularensis Isolates
F. tularensis LVS vs Unknowns
This graphic shows the hybridization results of three F. tularensis subspecies on an array design containing approximately 240,000 bases of DNA sequence that are unique to F. tularensis.

The panel on the left shows the hybridization intensity of approximately 6,000 signature oligonucleotides for F. tularensis.  The grey dots in the center are ~5,000 consensus F. tularensis sequences that confirm that each of the three blind samples contain F. tularensis DNA.

In the panel on the right, the consensus sequences were removed from the analysis to show sequences that discriminate between different subspecies.  Each spot represents the hybridization intensity for a particular oligonucleotide when hybridized with DNA from F. tularensis LVS and two unknown F. tularensis subspecies.
GenArraytion's Sniper Sequencing provides DNA micro-sequencing fingerprints that can be used for routine high confidence identification and characterization of microorganisms.
