Dr. Schaudies is an internationally recognized expert in biotechnology and nanotechnology, as well as biological and chemical detection, decontamination, and remediation. He has served on twelve National Academies committees and numerous advisory boards for other U.S. Government agencies, including DARPA and DOE. Dr. Schaudies is currently a member of the National Academies Division on Engineering and Physical Sciences Standing Committee on Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures. Dr. Robinson is the co-inventor of a broad-spectrum approach to biological agent identification and was a technical consultant to the EPA on-scene coordinator and the incident commander in the aftermath of the 2001 anthrax incidents on Capitol Hill. Dr. Robinson earned her bachelor of science degree from Cornell University and her doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo .
